Patient call system

Satisfied patients - relieved staff

The browser-based patient call system Oxygen.Q is specifically adapted to the health sector and manages patient flow in doctors' offices, medical centers, clinics and emergency rooms, including integration into your hospital information system (HL7).

It ensures fair and systematic patient allocation , while simultaneously informing patients about optional services and providing guidance upon request. Our patient call system reduces perceived waiting times , increases patient satisfaction , and relieves the burden on your practice team. With Oxygen.Q, calling out patient names in the waiting area is no longer necessary, as patients are called numerically . Oxygen.Q also fully integrates the Manchester triage procedure for prioritizing patients.

Perceived shortening
the waiting time

The visual progression of patient calls and the possibility of integrating a supporting program such as weather, news, information about the practice or entertainment films shortens the perceived waiting time.

Browser-based

Patient access, smartphone retrieval, the access module, and all content are browser-based. Whether it's weather, news, practice and patient information, or the program of events, you can take advantage of modern internet technology.

Multiple
Call areas

For larger practices, emergency rooms or clinics with multiple waiting areas, setting up and implementing multiple call areas with Oxygen.Q is no problem.

functions of
Oxygen.Q - Patient Call

Waiting-
advertisement

The waiting time display communicates the average waiting time and gives the patient, for example, the opportunity to decide whether they would prefer to wait in the practice or go for a coffee in the meantime.

Statistical
Evaluation

View your personal daily, weekly, or monthly report. See the number of patient calls, average waiting time, or total waiting time. Use these statistics, for example, for your quality management or process optimization.

ASP
Solution

You take care of your patients, we take care of the rest. With our ASP solution, we handle all administration, including updates and patches, whether it's a stand-alone or network-based solution.

Numeric
call

No surnames, first names or other information are called out by the practice; only a number or number-letter combination is displayed, thus complying with the GDPR.

Alarm function
for emergencies

Impatient or violent patients? Situation out of control? Notify colleagues, security personnel, or the police via the alarm function. Quick help with a touch or click.

Call via
Smartphone

A packed waiting room? A queue stretching out into the hallway? Not with oxygen.queue; give patients the opportunity to, for example, grab a coffee at the bakery around the corner while they wait.

Multilingual

Hello! Bonjour! Merhaba! Ciao! Hola! Bok! Take advantage of the system's multilingual capabilities and overcome language barriers. In our multicultural society, this is essential and builds trust.

A notice-
gong

To ensure that no one misses their call in the waiting area, the system is equipped with a notification chime. An audible signal sounds each time a patient is called, alerting them to the next call.

Standalone

The patient call system is a closed system and is delivered as a stand-alone solution. Everything runs on a dedicated LAN/WLAN network used exclusively by the patient call system.

Oxygen.Q is eligible for funding under the Future Program for Hospitals.

Take advantage of the federal funding from the KHZG for your digital project – ideal for your patient call system!

Under the umbrella of the Hospital Future Act (KHZG), digital solutions for clinics and hospitals are to be promoted. The federal government is providing 3 billion euros, with the states expected to contribute a further 1.3 billion euros. Hospitals will now receive not only the financial resources but also the political impetus to implement digitalization projects.

The most important regulations at a glance:

  • Over 4 billion euros for the modernization of hospitals

  • The federal government will provide 3 billion euros so that hospitals can invest in modern emergency capacities, digitalization and their IT security.

  • The federal states are to raise an additional 1.3 billion euros in investment funds. This is stipulated in the draft Hospital Future Act (KHZG) approved by the Federal Cabinet.

  • Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) emphasized at a press conference that the hospitals had done a great job in the Corona crisis and pointed out how important a high-performing healthcare system is.

  • The KHZG draft law deals on the one hand with investments for modernization and on the other hand with aid to offset the financial consequences of the coronavirus pandemic for hospitals.

  • The investment will be made in modern emergency response capacities and in better digital infrastructure.

  • Applications for funding can be submitted starting today. According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the law is expected to come into force in October 2020.

Oxygen.Q patient management and call systems meet the requirements of funding category 2, patient portals, and are eligible for funding.

Patient portals
(§ 19 KHSFV paragraph 1 sentence 1 no. 2 KHSFV):

Patient portals are intended to reduce communication efforts, accelerate the exchange of information, and improve the quality of care for patients. This particularly concerns digital admission and treatment management, as well as discharge and transfer management to subsequent healthcare providers.

We've been using the call system in the emergency department for three years now, and it's also been implemented in other areas of the hospital. I can tell you, we're completely satisfied with it; it runs flawlessly. We especially appreciate the ability to install our own content on the waiting area monitors. We've already done this and can use it to inform those waiting, for example, about current hospital topics, team introductions, explanations of the triage system, and other important information (such as what to do if you've forgotten your health insurance card).
